3rd AeHIN General Meeting this December
On December 4-5, 2014, the Asia eHealth Information Network will be having its 3rd General Meeting in Manila, Philippines.
The GM will initiate a more technical series of presentations and panel discussions. There will also be an innovations fair, and several knowledge-sharing and learning sessions. This year’s theme will be on national eHealth capacity building to scale and sustain ICT investments, emphasizing specific techniques as part of national eHealth and HIS strategies and action plans that address better governance, enterprise architecture, standardization and interoperability, and program management that can effectively aid scaling and sustaining current and future investments.
The AeHIN General Meeting aims to:
1) Exchange knowledge and recent experiences with eHealth and HIS multi-sectoral engagement and governance; improving data quality, analysis and use; scaling and sustaining investments; implementing health data standards; applying ICT-certified techniques; and developing and reusing open source solutions.
2) Scope and debate the merits and bottlenecks of addressing emerging eHealth and mHealth technical topics of shared interest among AeHIN members and countries.
3) Promote and support next steps with implementation of national HIS and eHealth capacity building techniques for individuals and institutions to address eHealth governance, enterprise architecture, standardization and interoperability, project and program management, acquisition and procurement, and optimizing use ICT investments.
