Welcome to the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Health Web Portal

Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Health [ http://foss-for-health.org ] aims to build a FOSS for eHealth Online Community --- a venue for networking and exchanging ideas and experience on FOSS use, best practices and business models for sustainability aside from providing online support to FOSS adopters and making available FOSS resources.

foss-for-health.org is part of the Open Source and Standards PCTA (PANACeA Common Thematic Activities) that hopes to help create awareness of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in eHealth, promote its use and build both capacity and support for those starting to adopt it.

PANACeA is the PAN Asian Collaboration for Evidence-based eHealth Adoption and Application (PANACeA)

The web portal for FOSS for Health hopes to be a dynamic/evolving repository and venue for interaction, sharing and supporting those who are interested in using free and open source software in health concerns. Please bear with us as we build and increase its capability and content.

Community members who are willing to contribute content and share their knowledge and skills are very much welcome.

Aside from the current content/resources/references, we have already in place an online helpdesk through a support ticketing system where PANACeA members and partners can request for online support for their ongoing implementations of FOSS-based projects. As previously explained, you need to be a registered user to be able to have access to this. Link to the support ticketing system will appear at the left column after logging in.

We also recently activated the foss-for-health.org wiki pages at http://foss-for-health.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page to provide a live and continuously being updated and revised manuals of FOSS applications and tools useful for eHealth.
